Come to Williamsburg!

My kids are finishing up school, and our summer is about to officially begin!  We LOVE where we live because there is never a shortage of things to do, places to go, and fun to be had.  We think YOU would love Williamsburg, too, and that you should come a visit this lovely area (and us, of course).  Here are a couple of our favorite things to do around town:

Colonial Williamsburg: by far the most recognized 'thing to do' in Williamsburg.  People from all over the country come here just to see CW, and then take in all the other attractions while they're here.  I can understand why - its such a treasure of history and has lots of hands-on experiences.  My boys love going into the Magazine to see all the guns, posing in the 'stocks,' playing with the canons, and watching everything (shoes, newspapers, books, bricks) get made as they did in Colonial times.  While you're here, also be sure to check out Jamestown and Yorktown.  We have a 'good neighbor' annual pass to CW and can get you discounted tickets!
ParkMap_StaticImage Busch Gardens: this is one of our favorite things about living here - our very own amusement park!  We get an annual pass and go as often as we can (we can get discounts on guest passes, too).  There is so much for families - from very small rides and shows put on by Elmo and friends for the smallest family members, to lots of kid-friendly rides (even a couple 'big' roller coasters you only have to be 48" to ride), to of course the big coasters for the big kids and grown ups.  There are great shows, lots of animals to see (some in shows), several places to eat, and fireworks!  If you're a Virginia Resident, your preschooler (age 3-5) can get in for FREE for the whole summer!  Also in Williamsburg is Water Country, USA - we are going to check it out this summer and we hear its awesome!
Of course there are many more (countless!) things to lure you to Williamsburg.  I haven't even touched on the awesome Outlets, the Great Wolf Lodge, or the nearby Virginia Living Museum and Children's Museum of Virginia.
So if you find yourself in this lovely corner of Virginia, or even just passing through, our door is always open to you.  We will cook for you, take you for a swim in our neighborhood pool, and relax for a while with a cold beverage!
