Six weeks ago John broke his arm - yesterday he got his cast off! The cast was really getting dirty and gross. It wasn't even particularly smelly, but just DIRT everywhere - the result of a busy boy who was not slowed down by a cast.
I thought his arm looked great, but John said the skin was really itchy and it hurt to move it from the casted position. Slowly he's been moving it more and more but doc says it might be a couple weeks before he has full range of motion. So far he's still doing most things left-handed (including writing) - I'll be interested if he switches back after his arm feels normal!
Here's a video of the cast removal. The vibrating saw tickled and made him laugh really hard!
